Connect with 11th Hour Racing's grantees

Our vision for the future includes cleaner, healthier waterways through strong local stewardship and collective action around the world. We work to facilitate this transition by supporting local solutions to global problems, led by community organizations and industry leaders. 11th Hour Racing supports  projects that improve ocean health and address the environmental challenges faced by coastal communities.

By supporting programs that model best practices of sustainability, restore coastal ecosystems, and advance ocean stewardship, our grantees are creating systemic change to restore ocean health.  Our work is inclusive and centered around people because we can’t change what is happening to our ocean if we don’t address the needs, desires and history of our coastal communities with a holistic approach.

Ecosystem Restoration

Whether it’s the small but mighty oyster or stretches of seagrass and mangroves, when we support restoration efforts, our funding helps nature and the people who depend on it.

Composting

Composting is a critical part of our strategy because it directly impacts ocean health by reducing greenhouse gas emissions, building healthy soil, and reducing our reliance on synthetic fertilizers, which pollute our waterways.

Ocean Literacy and Stewardship

We support opportunities for folks to experience their local waterways or gain a new perspective of the sea through powerful storytelling.

Clean Technology

We believe in the power of technological ingenuity and collective behavior change to overcome the environmental impact of human-made systems.
